By that time, I was a frustrated 12 years old engineer, who thought the factory could do much better in designing a bike.
So, I started a journey of stripping every mechanical object that came to my hands. Unluckily, it lasts until today!
I could look at a bike in total admiration or stripped it to the bones.
Everything in place, or the always fatidic remaining last bolt.
As every good “engineer”, I needed to test my “innovations”; and then came that feeling of connecting with a mechanical object.
There I was, staggering in awe at that two wheel machine,
attracted by the forces of nature to improve the original design.
No mercy with the factory engineers!
Before you laugh at me, let me tell you that the monolever rear suspension, was my unrecognized invention during an endless history class back in school.
It was the epitome of revising the original design
of a ´74 Zanella 175cc, with an unbearable rear suspension.
A pity only my classmates could prove me right!
